Professor Emad El-Omar Presents at IDDF 2025
The International Digestive Disease Forum (IDDF) 2025 was held in Hong Kong on July 5–6, bringing together global experts in gastroenterology and hepatology. Organised by the Institute of Digestive Disease (IDD) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the forum served as a platform for clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to exchange the latest advancements in digestive health.
The 2025 program featured plenary lectures, live endoscopic demonstrations, and cutting-edge scientific presentations across a range of topics.
We were proud to see Professor Emad El-Omar, Director of the Microbiome Research Centre, Professor of Medicine, and Editor-in-Chief of Gut and BMJ Journals, featured among this year’s distinguished speakers. He delivered a compelling lecture titled “The Future of Microbiome Medicine: An Editor’s Perspective”, offering unique insights into the evolving landscape of microbiome research and its clinical translation.
